Starfield Gameplay Index Official Website
If you are interested in a collection of screenshots of different points of interest in the game, please see the POI Collection.
This walkthough of Starfield is not the only way to do things. Your chosen backgrounds and traits, the order in which you take skills, and your general play style can significantly alter your experience. To that end, I'm listing all the quests here on the index to make it easy to find the related video.
Please keep in mind that this is a work in progress and that it will take time to capture and edit videos for each quest and activity.
At this point, it seems unlikely that each mission from the mission boards will be documented, but some may make the cut. They get repetitive very quickly.
In addition, the only temple videos that will get added will be part of "Into the Unknown" (main story quest) and Barret's companion quest. Once you've seen one, there is nothing new to see.
I'm pushing to get through as much of the content as I can before the Shattered Space gets released which means multiple videos per day.
Progress:
Day Total Quests Total Videos
Sunday 08/11/2024 91 50
Monday 09/02/2024 239 149
There are also too many videos on the Side Quests page, but I'm going to continue to focus on getting them all uploaded before re-organizing the site.
There remain at least half a dozen side quests for Neon, plus the vast majority of the faction quests (Vanguard, Crimson Fleet, Freestar Rangers, Ryujin), the rest of the main story quests, the companion quests (which I may skip for now), and the plethora of random other things like derelicts, space stations, mission board missions, random encounter (space and ground), and so forth.

Game Play Experience and Event Ordering
For this playthrough, the order of events will be listed below as they are accomplished.
  1. One Small Step
Since the difficulty is ratched up, some additional skills are warranted before proceeding. To that end, Professor Drake has decided to complete as many activities and quests as possible in New Atlantis before continuing on with the story quests. This will allow him to acquire the basic skills necessary to ensure success in "The Old Neighborhood" where it is know to me, the player (not the character, if you're role-playing), that Drake will need to persuade someone for information, engage at least one ship in space combat, engage a significant number of foes in personal combat, and potentially benefit from picking a few locks. To garner addition experience, and hence skill points, Professor Drake is completing the following New Atlantis local tasks:
