Civilization 5 is a turn based strategy game involving advancement through technologies. Winning can be accomplished in several ways

• Domination -- Military Win
• Science -- Space Race
• Cultural -- Build Utopia or expand cultural influence
• Diplomatic -- Get elected world leader by the United Nations (not available in Brave New World expansion)
• Time -- Have the most victory points by the end of the game

I have all of the expansions (DLC content) released for this game. I also have a variety of mods from Steam Workshop that I use from time to time. At the time of writing this, I have 596 hours according to Steam.

There are a few things I don't like, mostly having to due with Firaxis' approach to profit. Each new version of Civilization is released with better graphics and details than the version before, but there are always features missing. The initial release always feels like a partially implemented game, to get the features, one must buy the DLC as it becomes available. However, with nearly 600 hours of play time, it should be clear that I've gotten my money's worth even though paying full price for the game and all the DLC.

Bottom line, just like all previous versions of CIV, it's a fantastic game.
